FAQ

  • What is the starting price for a portrait session?

My portrait sessions whether indoor or in studio start at $150. You can view my booking page for more pricing and package information to determine which session would work best for you.

  • Do we get all of the photos taken during our session?

Unfortunately and fortunately no. You will receive an online proofing site with all of the photos taken from your session (which is usually anywhere between 50-200 photos depending on the allotted time of your session) where you can choose your very favorite photos to be edited based on the number of edited photos you can receive that comes with your session. You also have the ability to purchase additional edits at $25 per edit.

  • Why don’t you sell unedited photos?

I like to think of unedited photos as the left overs a baker leaves behind as scraps after they complete a wedding cake. They put in all of the great parts and leave out the parts that didn’t really make sense to keep. In comparison, photos that aren’t chosen to be edited by you will be treated as such as they were not your favorites. There are instances where I will provide unedited photos. If this is something you’re interested in knowing more about, please feel free to contact me for further details.

  • Is there a limit to the number of poses?

Nope, you can do as many poses as you’d like and I’ll even help you with some ideas!

  • Will you come to our office to take our photos of our business?

Yes! Whether it’s photos of your business for your website or updating staff headshots, I can setup on site at your place of business and bring all of the tools I need to make the entire session flow easily and productively to capture everything you need me to.

  • Do you retouch all of the photos?

No, I don’t retouch all of the photos from your session as it’s very time consuming (at least 45-90 minutes). For that reason, I only retouch and do detailed edits to the photos you choose to be edited and retouched from your online proofing gallery.

  • How many photos will I have to choose from?

You will have a set number of photos to select from based on the session you book as a complimentary. After you have selected those photos, you can purchase as many additional edits as you’d like at $25 per additional photo.

  • Do you require a deposit to hold my session date?

Yes, there is a deposit required to hold your session date and time. Without placing a deposit, your session date and time will still be up for grabs by other inquiring clients.

  • How will I see my finished photos?

I upload the final edited and retouched images to my proofing site which gives you the ability to download them in their full quality. This link will be available for you to visit and download your photos from as many times as you’d like for at least 4 months. If you have a different request for how you’d like to receive your photos please feel free to contact me and I’ll be more than happy to discuss that with you!

  • How do I choose my photos?

After our session, the photos will be uploaded to an online proofing sight within 24-48 hours for you to view and select your photos. You choose the photos you’d like to be edited, retouched, and returned by pressing the star in the upper right corner of the photo you like. When you’re finished, just let me know and I’ll begin editing them to have them back to you within 1-2 weeks.

  • Where are you based and do you travel?

I am based in the beautiful city of Tallahassee, Florida. I LOVE to travel! For traveling fees please feel free to contact me and I’ll be more than happy to assist you!

  • Should we bring props?

Yes! Although I do have a selection of props for different shoots and scenarios, bringing your own props if possible is always a plus!

  • When in my pregnancy is the best time to do my maternity shoot?

While the best time frame for a maternity photo session is around 28 to 36 weeks of the pregnancy, expecting mothers can enjoy a shoot as long as they're not a little too close to their delivery dates and they can still move around with a growing baby bump.

  • What happens if I’m late to my session?

You will be given a 15 minute grace period. After 15 minutes of being late, you will be charged a $50 late fee. If you have not showed up to your appointment after 30 mins, your shoot is canceled with the option to rebook for another date/time with an additional $100 fee or cancel your shoot with no return of deposit. For more information, please feel free to contact me and I’ll be more than happy to assist you!

  • When is the final payment due?

The final payment is due at the end of your session but you do have the option to pay for your session in full or to pay the final payment any time before your session.

  • Can I bring a hair stylist or makeup artist?

Yes! Bringing a hair stylist or makeup artist is highly encouraged to enhance your looks the way you’d like. I can also inquire with local artists to acquire a professional makeup artist and hair stylist upon request.

  • Can I bring friends along for moral support?

Yes! For those who need that little extra push I recommend bringing a friend or family member along to hype you up! As long as you keep it limited to 3 people at the most, I support bringing friends along.
